ALX began in 2006 when its then teen-aged founder, Alan Lebedoff learned that Yukon exploration companies were ordering core boxes from outside Yukon in order to meet their needs. He immediately began building core boxes in his parents’ backyard and sold his first order to an exploration project that would eventually turn into the Minto Mine in the Fall of 2006. From these simple, entrepreneurial roots ALX has grown aggressively in the 14 years it has been in operation. ALX has quietly become the premier supplier of consumable supplies to the exploration, drilling, mining, and construction industries. Operating from a 20,000 square foot warehouse and office, on a five acre industrial lot in the Mt. Sima area of Whitehorse, ALX now supplies a complete range of supplies to meet the needs of industry in the North. From oils and lubricants, steel wear-products, and industrial mining chemicals, to drill rods, diamond products, and downhole analytical instrumentation ALX serves all facets of the mining industry. And, true to our roots, ALX continues to operate a year-round woodshop where we manufacture core boxes, stakes, and survey lath.
