Six months ago I had a marine survey done. After talking to more people (in the process of selling my deceased father's boat) I learned that the survey was not thorough in any way. I don't know if I was conned because I am unfamiliar with sail boats or if that was the standard service provided. Multiple times during the survey I was needed to help look for damage as the surveyor was not physically capable of maneuvering around the boat and did not bring his own assistance.
