Hot Springs Cove

Busy but beautiful hot spring! My partner and I were exploring a couple other natural hot springs in BC and Hot Springs Cove was one our stops. We arrived by seaplane with Atleo Air which was a 20 minute trip from Tofino. On arrival there is a 30-40 minute walk on a boardwalk to the hot spring area. Runners were recommended for this trail however we were fine in Birkenstocks. Once on site, a couple sheltered change rooms were available and outhouses were nearby. Area around the hot spring is pretty rocky so many were wearing sandals or wet shoes to get around. It was quite busy when we arrived so it was difficult to find a comfortable soaking spot. Expect to get cozy as the pools are quite small. Temperatures were about 50C at the source which was personally too hot to start with however a couple pools down were the perfect temperature. There is also a pool right beside the ocean water and during high tides the cold water spills over the warm pool, leaving you with a nice surprise. Overall it was a nice hot spring to experience and to say you've been to. However the long hike and number of visitors was not ideal.
