A black granite obelisk creates a solemn and revered presence to these gardens honouring those who served and continue to serve in the Forces. The layout is well thought through. It can hold a gathering of folks but also allows people to walk and ponder each little niche in the garden adorned with interesting tidbits of Ajax history. For example, I'm a graduate of UofT but had no idea that there was a UofT annex in Ajax right after WW2 to accommodate and give veterans post secondary education after returning from the service. Pretty neat.

Beautiful place but at the Remembrance Day there wasn't no one flower. Nobody cares about veterans in Ajax administration.
