Valentine's Day and the place was way to packed for Covid. Longo's has some great grocery but I find I need to go to other stores for a lot of items. Nice produce, meats and bakery. The bread is not fresh. The bread is frozed and then heated to look fresh. It is expensive. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

This Longos location is our preferred spot to do our grocery shopping due to the great quality and wide variety of food selections. One of the items I always pick up is the fresh baked sourdough bread from the bakery. WELL, as I was eating a sandwich (made with said bread), I saw something black hanging out of an air pocket in the bread. Pulled it out and saw that It was half of a body of a bug. Yes, half. Meaning the other half was in the bite that I was chewing (one part was still stuck in the bread as well). I spit out my food and thought I was going to throw up. This wasn’t just a bug that had landed on top of the bread, it was baked INTO the bread. Immediately wrote to Longos customer service but never heard back- so I’m posting it here. Absolutely disgusting. Will never purchase bread from this bakery again.
Love this store. Always shop here for the fresh squeezed juice, drive from Cobourg to buy at this location. I recommend the crab cakes !

One of the staff members very helpful. Went way out of way to assist me. Was looking for food for just myself for Christmas to heat up... being alone. Instead of pointing. He walked me to part of store to assist me. That is excellent customer service. Need more employees to be like this. Merry Christmas Longos staff.
