Very disappointed to find doors locked (apparently by landlord) when we went for weekly lunch as we have been doing for years. I do hope they come to a satisfactory arrangement and manage to continue operation (though being so far back from Kingston Road is a rather hidden location for a restaurant). To me, it is the best buffet restaurant in Ajax, has become almost a second home, with a very friendly staff and a great and well prepared selection of good food. (And it is by far the most affordable restaurant for seniors living on small pensions!) I do hope they manage a comeback and stay open as they certainly deserve to.
Looks like there are some fake reviews on here. Anyone giving this more than 3 stars is used to eating very poorly or are the owners using fake accounts. This place used to be great until the last year or so. Now it's obvious that they're cutting corners. To the point where I wouldn't eat there for safety/hygiene reasons. Message To Owners: cutting quality is a bad business decision. This place was built up over years with good food, service and cleanliness. You've destroyed that in less than a year. I'm torn between feeling bad for you and being angry with you. I will NEVER return.
Lobster was supposed to be on the buffet. I saw people with some but trying to get some... it's like tow truck drivers at an accident scene (sorry tow truck drivers) hot crab legs.... again I didn't see any. Cold crab legs... yes I managed to get a few but they were out most of the time. Plates.... how can you be out of plates...... this place is going down hill fast. I USED to love this place but I will pay the little extra and go back to Mandarin.
This place was good in the beginning. They used to have hot crab legs everyday and a wide variety of delicious food. The last few times I went recently the food was sub par and no hot crab legs. The variety is gone so you now have less selection than any other buffet.
The absolute worst Chinese food experience I have ever experienced. Went on a Saturday night at 5:30, which you think would be prime time for dinner. Parking lot was not busy which should have been a good indicator as to how times have changed for this restaurant. Food was cold, tasteless and far from fresh. Meat dishes tasted like they were cooked days ago and just reheated as needed. Shrimp tasted off. 67.00 for 2 people. Left hungry. Management's response was we will give you a two for one coupon. I will never go back.Save your money.
Went for moms birthday food was great but my server was telling me I can't pay credit or debit. Then I could but I couldn't put a tip on it and had to give him his tip in cash. Pretty presumptuous. I strongly feel like this was his policy and not the business' He kept saying pay debit Then leave tip here and was hovering. I would rate higher if not for this grubby dude.
CHINESE BUFFETT...To me it's a great place to go if you have a two for one buffet coupon... If paying full price I don't think there in enough items I like it to make it worth it... The have hot and cold food ... the serve alcohol. Plus the dessert bar is good
