What a great place. My wife and I are not "Pub-People" and we kind of wandered in off the street because they were open and looked like a nice place to have drinks. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed warmly, the staff explained how things worked and got us a table right away. We truly felt like we were just visiting a friends house. Has that kind of atmosphere. Found out it is a Craft Beer place. My wife isn't a huge beer person but the barkeep put together a special sample for her to try that was a sweet beer with some sweet stuff in it, anyways she loved it and got a pint. Probably the first beer I've ever seen her enjoy (and finish). I love a cider and the Cherry Vanilla Cider they had on tap had the perfect blend of sweet and sour. This is not a sophisticated place. This is a place you can truly relax, enjoy and forget about life for a while and have a beer or two.

Delicious local beer with variety of types really recommend the stout, super friendly owner and staff, dog friendly!!! Yay! Brewery Dog is super friendly too bring or order in your own food, snack size bags of chips available as well as jerky and dog cookies. Outdoor patio is great with a fire pit (reserve) and so is their swag! Snagged a deluxe hoodie and a t-shirt. Covid spacing.

We absolutely love this place. Amazing beer and friendly family run business. Always welcoming and are amazing at service. Love that we can bring our four legged kid with us and enjoy an afternoon of great conversation and laughs. Did I mention the patio, fire pits and attentive staff.

Even though this brew house is over 250 km from my home, I visit whenever I travel south. Dog friendly and child friendly at this pub, the locals I met consider this a home away from home. I'm not normally a beer drinker, but the samples I tasted were so good, I'm slowly becoming a convert, at least for Balzac beer. When you belly up to the bar to place your order, you are greeted by friendly staff who are dedicated to making sure you have a good time. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

I can’t say enough about this amazing local brewery. If you a craft beer lover Balzac Brewing is a must. If your not a craft beer lover, you will be. We love the atmosphere, the owners and staff are amazing, taking the time to visit and get to know all guests, young and old. Kids are welcome, in fact our kids look forward to “Friday Nights” at the brewery. Great selection of board games to keep the whole family entertained Keep up the awesome work, and “Grab Life by the Balzac”

Consistently supplying the freshest beer around with lots of variety and experiments. Often a little pricier than other beer, but the beer is super fresh and seems to move quick. Many ales are very generously hopped, the dark porter styles can be thick and viscous.

Not family friendly and horrible service. We went there for an afternoon outing, took the kids and board games, bought their snacks and drinks for the kids. We got asked to leave because our kids were ‘taking up valuable real estate space’. We know our lane, go early, enjoy some tasting flights and leave before happy hour. The service was slow and the fellow who asked us to leave was really rude about the fact that we had kids there. Plenty of great craft tap rooms in Calgary where this isn’t a problem. Take your business there.

Very friendly, fun and happy environment. And the beer is delicious, we visit here as often as we can. The owner and whole family there are so welcoming and make you feel comfortable. So happy to have it open again to visit!
