Air Canada domestic lounge in “COVID-19” times is open now and has been for a while. I wanted to do a review after they have been open for a while so that they would have worked out the bugs as system. The service is different now. You come in and you scan your boarding pass to get in. The floor is marked in the preferred direction of travel they want you to go through. So you walk straight up to the service counter and you order your food. The food is prepared and bagged. You can also order from the menu. The self serve is no longer available. If you want drinks, food or snacks you have to ask for it. Air Canada hates vegans so don’t hold your breath if you want something vegan. Even the snacks are not vegan friendly with the exception of the potato chips. Yuck. The cleanliness is good but slow. They have a team cleaning the area when someone vacates the chair. But if they take their food and refuse with them and leave no evidence of someone sitting there, I noticed that they miss the chair and they don’t clean it. The bathrooms are the same. Nothing new with respect to the cleaning and maintenance. The chairs are socially distant so that you can take off your mask and not worry about someone in your face. Compared to the Plaza Premium Lounge, this lounge has nothing better or nicer other than it is lit more and feels spacious.

Air Canada lounge access is back! That should be worth 5 stars right there. As a Super Elite traveler, I missed it. And this was my 7th flight in the lockdown... I am happy to say that they have made it very pandemic friendly without any major renovations. They serve you at a bar set up and then you can order hot meals from your chair anywhere. They are still working out the kinks in the technology and service. But I did enjoy hot Farfalle and a glass of my Go To Campo Viejo. I worry about how they handle more volume as more of us fly. But it's good to be back, lounging at the airport!

The Maple Leaf Salon is adapted to the covid. I use it at least 4 times a month... tonight I had quite an experience: a waitress offered to have prepared a special meal for me as I am vegan...! Served with a wonderful smile... that's service and caring. Then another employee offered a drink with such a smile I could not say no...! I want to thank the Air Canada employees who are serving us with a smile....Cheers

Nothing hot to eat, and no reason for this. Since all food is served from behind the bar, there could easily be soups and a couple of hot dishes (pasta, pizza, etc.). Instead, today it was sliced turkey roll (not even real turkey) on a dry baguette. If you can't serve something hot, then at least make it appetizing.

Pretty decent lounge with ok views of the airport.

Excellent safe distancing setup during covid but food is still sub par. Maybe even a bit worse then pre-covid

Nowhere for groups within the same "bubble" to sit, all seats are spaced with individually numbered tables. On the table is a sensor you can use with your phone and QR code to order a VERY limited meal only. Beverages you still have to go get yourself? Currently not worth the .

Impressed with the COVID response here. Felt safe. Got to relax before my flight and take advantage of the food and beverage options.
