Dining with an overwhelming view. The area around the lighthouse alone is worth the visit. The dishes at the restaurant were delicious, fresh and really nicely presented. The menu changes every day. When we were there, there was a fix starter (cesar salad) and a choice of two dishes (salmon oe curry) and two deserts (rhubarb pie or chocolate cake). The price was fix the same for every choice and included non-alcoholic drinks.

Long rough road to get here. I would not suggest taking a car. We had my four wheel drive truck and the road was so rough and washed out in places that we considered turning around. The lighthouse itself is not impressive but the view most definitely is. Great viewing area a short walk from the parking lot. Suggest viewing from here and saving yourself the long walk back up the hill. Also on this road before getting to Cape D'Ors is a great secluded cove we stopped at. Big long rock shoreline where you can find all kinds of neat rocks as mementos. Also a couple sea caves run along the western edge.

I called for availability information as the website didn't provide anything in regards to that, which is no big deal but the gentleman who answered the phone was quite rude in making sure I knew that "only fancy places have their availability online". After all was said and done I asked what time the restaurant was open and he told me he didn't open it this summer. Understandable. But again, not on the website. Just a reminder that professionalism and kindness go a long way when it comes to minor issues.
Amazing view of the lighthouse, bay of Fundy and rock formations. It is worth climbing back up to the parking lot. We stayed there overnight so I got to see the sunset and sunrise and it is just so amazing. The rooms are clean and the food at the light keeper's restaurant was the best! They are all very accommodating. We can not complain you can bring your car down if you stay overnight.
And experience all to itself It's an easy climb down but going back up to me parking lot You may have to take a stop halfway as we do
Not only is the scenery spectacular, but the rich history of the area make this a must while traveling this shore.
Beautiful and peaceful place ! Darcy was super nice,the place clean and immaculate. Absolutely loved our stay !
