I was trained and certified by Stuart and Bob about 25 years ago. The welding and theory taught by qualified and experienced tradesmen prepared me for a lifetime of welding/ opportunities. I highly recommend this real world school for a lifetime of successes.

Not a bad place to hang out and re-learn your welding technique. I had been living on the mountain for more than 15 years, I always knew that they are there, however I did not know that you can pretty much show up whenever and stay and practise your technique for an hour. It costs 25/hour to practise, but for me it is still cheaper than buying my own welding machine and the headache of finding some place safe to set it up. AWT is also a nice small facility and there is not a lot of people there to distract you or get nervous about being around. My only concern/complaint is the hourly rate, but by the time I leave I feel pretty good.

Did my course there in 2017, amazing school!! Johhny Barron was by far one of the best teachers ive ever had. The Staff was awesome and i have them to thank for what i have been able to accomplish in the welding industry.

I was here for the 16 week course. I have nothing but great things to say about this school. The instructors were very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and had a great way of showing me how to do things correctly. The lady in the office was also extremely nice, polite, and very very helpful. When the course was over she helped with my resume and sent many out to apply for jobs for me. The job I have now she found for me, and is a great job I probably wouldn't have found on my own. She was also very helpful with the second career paperwork and was able to answer any questions I had. I would encourage anyone who comes to this school to take the 16week course if you can finacially make it work. But taking the extra 4 weeks you get your 6g pipe ticket, and by getting that ticket you will open alot more doors for yourself, and will be able to make a much better wage. It costs more but is well worth it in the end, and if your going to be there for 12weeks what's another 4 you might as well do it all at once.

Horrible school with awful teachers. Go to Georgian College for the real deal, or anywhere else. The teachers were stoned and getting high most nights, no proper training for the students compared to other schools. Waste of my money and time over 3 months, and considering all the other students were on welfare getting the course for free, no one really cared about teaching or training. Anywhere else is a better use of your time and money

Taught me all positions, all processes. They were very flexible with which tickets were needed for my career path. Recommended for anyone who needs tickets or education for cwb and tssa.

Dont waste time in a 2 year program at community college or another welding school anywhere near hamilton. Advanced puts my previous welding school to shame
