I trusted Hugh Dwyer at Advanced Look to inspect my first home purchase, and at first I was reasonably happy. 2 years later a contractor was working in the house and pointed out what he though was asbestos (vermiculite - and given the age of the house likely asbestos). Once I knew what it looked like It was very visible in both the crawl space and attic, and the contractor casually saw it leaking out from behind a baseboard. I later had it tested and it does in fact contain asbestos. I approached him afterwards and he apologized for the glaring error and promised to follow up. 2 years later I saw his vehicle driving down the road (yellow jeep) and decided to give him a call. Again he apologized and said he would get back to me to help however he could. 3 years later I wrote this review to help others. No follow-up visit, no follow-up phone call, no help to pay for removal, no advice on good contractors, and definitely not a refund on "services". There were also other little mistakes he made - we have knob and tube wiring in the report - in reality we do not, and other small items like that. Everyone makes mistakes, even life changing 25,000 ones, the reason for 1 star is how well he made it right.
