I have started working for Acorn in January 2021. I work in the Canadian head office and find the company and people here very warm and welcoming. The company treats the team right! We have one pizza day a month and one cake day a month to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries! The management team works hard to ensure their staff is looked after and has the support needed to do their jobs properly. The office team works hard to manage the COVID protocols and ensure the office is properly sanitized with all the required PPE. Great place to work - teams treat you equally!

We are very pleased with Acorn's service and the product itself is a lifesaver. So versatile and helpful. Not just for people but for big things that need to go to the basement, like water conditioner salt. We feel very confident in the equipment, which is obviously well made and sturdy. Highly recommend you make this investment. It's not cheap, but it is a huge improvement in your life.

I have had the straight chairlift since Feb 2020. It has worked fine, so far. The company has contacted me twice in that time. Once by phone and once with advertising sent by mail. Both times have been about getting the extended warranty after the one year warranty that came with the new purchase. I am not a warranty purchaser normally. The cost is terribly high in my opinion. 595 a year! For a basic machine that is very simple really. And I thought the purchase price was terrible! If that's all the company can do, I'm not impressed. They are gouging. The lift has some very irritating features too. It beeps loudly if not perfectly on the charge stations. So if the power goes out it starts to beep and never quits. This can't be turned off. T here is a flashing red light on it that is very annoying at night. Again, can't be turned off. The good thing is that it didn't need special wiring, it is plugged in to a socket at the bottom of our stairs that handily was in the right spot. The chair itself is weird- too high when at the bottom of the stairs and too low at the top! I think they could do better. How old is this design

We were having difficulties with a lift at my in-laws home and I called the company after-hours to leave a message for them to return on the next business day. Ray from Acorn received the message and called me back that night! Not only did he call to see what problem we were having, he walked me through fixing the issue and was extremely kind and professional. He went the extra mile to ensure that our lift was working properly and safely. The help and peace of mind we received from Ray was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had.
