WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T take the poor reviews seriously. the program here is very well thought out and well taught. the teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and are also experienced; they are very easy to connect with and are more than happy to cater to your needs as a student. The material is fresh and they are always willing to update their program to help you reach the constantly changing EMA licensing standard. Even though the tests are quite difficult they are fair and all passable if you do your studying. The classes are small so you as a student are given an excellent chance to get some 1 on 1 time with the teacher. If you want to do first aid as a profession, get your training done at AET

I did my EMR course with them and was really surprised with how friendly the staff was and how much the instructor cared and helped ensure I passed the class. Now onto Licensing!! :)
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I have taken many different courses and classes over my life and this one was by far the worst run class I have ever been too. I hated my whole time there and felt like it was just a huge money grab. The owner is the most un businesslike person I have ever met in my life and doesn't care about the customers 1 bit. I went here to try and save a couple hundred dollars over going somewhere else but looking back I would have paid 10 times more not joking to go to a real school. not kidding at all. The best thing I could say to help you is don't waste your time or money going here as you will regret it big time!! I have never been this unsatisfied with anything in my life. Hopefully I helped you!
It comes to no surprise why this school doesn't require a panel interview to get into its Paramedic program. This is a terrible school -- a money grab. First off, the school is not even listed in financial aid BC, which means student loan for this school is not an option. Secondly, it is not CMA (Canadian Medical Association) accredited. Thirdly, I'm pretty sure not all AET students, but the Paramedic students from AET are the most incompetent ones I have ever seen. Lastly, AET will need to provide a more professional website than what they have now. Their current website is lacking and an insult to Paramedicine.
Where to even start idk I just completed a two week course at this school, to become a paramedic......... They are missing 50% of the equipment MANDATORY to teach the class? Like the teacher is telling us about a tourniket but cant show us it because they dont have it.... well in real life when someone is bleeding out Id liek to know how!!! The other 50% of their stuff is broken, disgusting (many many years old) and dirty. the carpet looks like it hasnt been cleaned in 5 years, and we have to lay down on it GROSS. also the book is so old that none of the stuff is used anymore?? and they said the same textbook is used for all the programs?? so basically they are saying that the high level paramedic uses the same old book as someone who is taking a 4 day first aid course??? wouldnt hire a paramedic from here my openion: DONT GO HERE EVER!!!
DO NOT GO HERE. THIS OPERATION IS A MAJOR SCAM!!! I did my training with DECLAN LAWLOR. He collects the full amount for the course in advance of the date. The course was terrible and very rushed. He sends pre-course reading assignments and quizzes in advance so he can minimize the amount of time and effort to actually teach! I have done the same course at other institutions with much more thorough teaching without having to do any pre-course work. Needless to say the course was terrible and very rushed. It has now been over a year since the course and I have not received my certificate. I have phoned DECLAN LAWLOR dozens of times but his secretary screens the calls and it is difficult to get through so I end up just leaving him a message that I never receive a response to. One time she slipped up and actually put me on the phone with him. He sounded embarrassed and said "no problem, just send me an email and I will forward the certificate to you". No surprise that I didn't ever receive an email back. This man is a major fraud people, save your money for reputable businesses. He should be reported to the better business bureau for what he has put me through over the last year. Lastly, the man is grossly overweight. Do you really want to learn emergency medicine from someone who can't even take care of himself?
If you do choose to go to this school, please know your rights as a student or else be prepared to bend over and take it up the tail pipe.
