Quality of the sausage has been very hit and miss over the years. Rempels farmer sausage was a staple of my diet growing up, Sunday lunch at Opa and Omas was something I really looked forward to. When I was a kid it was always perfect, just a bit flaky and not impossible to peel. And the taste, of course, which has always been amazing. But over the last decade as they've become much busier their sausage quality has gone downhill. We moved to PG a while back and have been missing our old farmers sausage, recently we were down in the mainland and had a chance to stock up on what turned out to be the worst batch I've had yet and the reason I finally am writing this review. It's just dense, rubbery mush, you can get better sausage off a shelf for half the price. I don't need to drive 8 hours for it either. I'm sure they don't read reviews, they don't even have an email address, but they should be ashamed. My family has always bought their sausage because it was the best, not because it was just sausage, you can get that anywhere. But it's not the best anymore.
