No planning skills to do abatement or repairs, they can't even estimate. First on site will show up quicly but then hold you hostage with no plan for months on end. After 2.5 months I had to get another company to do the repairs. I had to get another restoration company. On emergency response they just use a spray bottle to wipe things and charge a lot of money.
We had an excellent experience with Jennifer Balzer and her team at FOS. Terra created a schedule that was kept with. All dates were hit and job done on time. Melissa and the contents crew handled my super valuable hobby collection with care which was appreciated. The initial mitigation lead was excellent. I wish I could remember his name but he was great. The drywall team was very good too. They kept working away and on schedule. Virtually no dust anywhere too. If I may add, I run a company that performs sub work in the resto world for resto companies. I work with many. My wife and I have also had 2 resto experiences previously in our home in which we used another company. On the second experience the delays were so bad, that we ultimately cashed out. The follow through in these experiences was just terrible. So we were very hesitant. But we knew through my sales rep who works with Jennifer that she and her team are amazing. And I can certainly say they were. The only minor delays were in splitting the quote up which was due to me entirely as me doing my companies sub work, made the subsequent scope confusing. So I created the delay. OUtside of this the execution was excellent. Some highlights: - FOS people calling us morning of to advise us of when arriving and then when delayed giving us a heads up. so nice. - The schedule was nailled. How often does that happen. Wow. - Jennifer was great to deal with. So on top of things and reassuring. Thank you. - Terra, Melissa and the entire FOS team was so profressional, organized and friendly. And fully PPE prepared. We felt safe. THANKS! - Cooperators team was very good too. Excellent experience and glad to be able to share this.
Hard to get hold of local people working for this company. Head office will say they have your number and will call you.. nothing yet... Lots of buck passing!!! and work was just started.
I would not recommend or use FirstOnSite if they were the last recourse available! Terrible project management, terrible contractor selection and all-around a huge disappointment. It has taken us almost 1 year to work with them to have a garage door and motor replaced and the project is STILL not completed. DO NOT USE THEM. You are better off to do the work yourself than to pay this team to try and help you. I am only rating them the 1 star because there was no option for ZERO stars!
