We weren't sure how adopting kittens during a pandemic was going to work but Abbey Cat Adoption made the process easy and enjoyable. The initial contact was responded to promptly, followed by a professional, thorough, yet friendly, screening interview. After that came a Zoom virtual visit with the foster family and the kittens, which was delightful. We collected the kittens from the foster family shortly after the Zoom call with all appropriate safety precautions explained and adhered to, which was good to see. Throughout the process, communication was clear and extremely helpful. I can't say enough positive things about the Abbey Cat Adoptions team - incredible people who are clearly invested in ensuring their felines are housed in happy, caring homes. Abbey Cat Adoptions was amazing. We applied on a Sunday went through the screening process really fast & had our beautiful new family additions home by the Tuesday. Everyone was very kind, caring & helpful. A great experience and we can't be happier.
We applied for and adopted two kittens (brothers). The kittens are adorable, well mannered, energetic, and so cuddly. The Abbey Cats adoption process ensures a good match, and although we’ve owned cats before, they took the time to advise us on special kitten needs, latest research, and recommendations for happy kitties. When we picked up our kittens, the foster mom was amazing. She had prepared a list of their favourite foods and toys, even how they like to play and cuddle. She even sent them off with an adorable little care package including a favourite toy. I love the Abbey Cats thorough screening process and can see how much they care about ensuring their animals are well cared for and happy and healthy. Thanks Abbey Cats for the amazing work you do!
Excellent experience. It is obvious this organization is trying their best to place cats into the best homes possible. Process moved very quickly. We were able to ask all our questions and had great interactions and support from our cats foster mom. Our kitty was listed as a work in progress and we appreciate the honesty in what to expect upon arrival. We have been very patient with her, taken all the advice from Abbey cats and the foster. Our kitty is settling in better than expected and we can't wait to see how she changes in the weeks and months to come. Thank you!
Our family adopted 2 beautiful kittens from Abbey Cat. This organization was recommended by my vet. The process went very quickly once the application was submitted. They screen their applicants, which shows that they care about the welfare of the animals they rescue. Everyone I spoke with was very knowledgeable, transparent and nice. The foster family was truly lovely and gave the kittens so much love and care. The kittens were litter trained, healthy and well adjusted. We are so grateful to Abbey Cats for helping us find new members of our family.
