Better than we expected for a small town museum. Great artifacts and displays. Friendly staff.
I took 3 overly ambitious grandchildren, and they loved it, plus the views of the river and surrounding islands were great
it gives you the history of bolte island before you go on the cruise.
Really enjoyed this museum! Three levels of displays, artifacts and information plus gift shop is a description that does not give this location enough credit. Prepare to spend at least an hour or two exploring thousand islands history & people - and set aside some time to pick out a souvenir or gift on the way out! This is a donation run museum and sometimes visitors aren't sure what to donate so I'd recommend 5-10 per person and at least 20 for a family because it's really worth it.
