After getting a coupon in the mail, I decided to try this new place out. It's a great addition to the great variety of asian restaurants at State College. Including tip and tax, we paid 40 for two people to share one pot of broth and left very full. The chicken broth was good with the addition of shacha sauce. If I went again, I wouldn't order the dumplings. They came frozen and became soggy in the hot pot.
Went in with a friend of mine. Service was decent at first, but closer to the end of the experience, it was clear that they did not want us to be there anymore by making us wait for a good 15 minutes (or more, that's when we started timing) before even asking us what we wanted, then waiting for another 20 minutes giving us what we DIDN'T order. Food may have been alright, but this place left a sour taste in my mouth.
Terrible service! Terrible experience!! We called in for a reservation on the way to the restaurant, the waitress who picked up the phone told us a table will be ready for us in 15 minutes. When we arrived, the other party (same number of people with us) entered the restaurant at the same time. We told the waitress we called in earlier to reserve a table, the other party told her they are walking in. The waitress seated the other party first, then told us there is only one table available and we need to wait for another 15 to 20 minutes. We were shocked by the logic of seating they did and the level of service they provided. We left the restaurant and we will never return, nor recommended to anyone!
Once they said they have no more lamb for all you can eat, we were almost full so we didn't really complain but we were pretty sure they still had lamb in the back. Also, on the website it says free soup based flavour on Wednesday but they charged us 10 extra and they automatically charged us 10% tip for 2 people.
Pretty good hot pot! I have been a few times and the service and quality were the same both times.
