I'm over a month into this program and it is super comprehensive, I started knowing virtually nothing and already am beginning to feel competent and comfortable. The fundamentals are covered well with theory and most projects you so in the lab are rather fun. Plus my instructor (and as far as I know all the other ones) are helpful, thorough and at the absolute top of their level. I have an apprenticeship lined up and by the time I am ready to start that job, I will be VERY prepared to say the least. Would recommend

Most of these reviews are extremely positive and there is good reason why. I just graduated from the pre-apprentice electrical program last Friday, Sep 25th and will be starting my new job (apprenticeship) with Gem-Tec tomorrow. Having taken this course, I feel well prepared to handle the tasks that lay ahead of me. I found this course to be very comprehensive as it covers several pillars – theory, electrical code (rules), reading and drawing blueprints, and of course, a heavy focus on hands-on work (you will be wiring up basic residential and commercial installations in the shop everyday). Excited yet?! As for the instructors – I was blessed to be in Joe Preziosa’s class. Joe is an absolute gem – extremely knowledgeable, patient, very encouraging and a really funny guy too. I hear all the instructors are just as great. As for finding employment – no, they will not place you in a job. No school does that – public or private. This is not an employment agency. That said, they will share certain resources with you to help you find that first job. How hard you hustle to get it depends on you. I was in the full-time, twelve-week course. Glad I did it. Money well spent in my book. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me – [email protected]. Good luck!

Very pleased and satisfied with STC. A lot of hands on training. Frank the plumbing instructor is a great instructor, provides detailed lessons and makes learning fun. Highly recommended! You won’t regret it!

I came into the Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship program with no experience whatsoever. 3 months later I'm leaving with so much knowledge and hands-on experience and I am so glad I decided to take this program before beginning my apprenticeship. Most importantly the program has given me confidence to begin working in the field. The small class sizes really make a difference and John H is such an amazing teacher!! He makes learning so fun and enjoyable. All the staff are so friendly and helpful too. Thank you STC for a wonderful school experience.

Excellent program, great staff, by far the best instructional value Ive come across. Ive had zero previous experience or training and If youre looking to start in an electrical field I would highly recommend coming here.
