I've put off writing a review because I didn't want to cast a bad light on the school. However, after reading the review from Nicki Young, I had to say something. The bad reviews are not lies! I'm glad this person is having a positive experience, but that is not the case for many students and families! There are many good, caring teachers at the school (Mrs. F., Mrs. D., Mrs. K., Mr. T.), but sadly, the problem is the principal! There's no accountability for his actions and in his eyes, he's always right! If you try talking to him, he keeps repeating himself and you can't get a word in! The school says no bullying but it's rampant! This school takes in students who've been expelled from other schools, but they don't deal with the bad behaviour! Early on, when we tried talking to the principal about it, he said our daughter must be doing something to \provoke the bullying!\ Really, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of! To make matters worse, in grade 7, the principal himself started picking on our daughter! He would pull her out of class to discuss phone usage, etc! Other students would be using their phones, but he would only target our daughter! He would accuse her of things she didn't do or knew nothing about! This principal handled a serious issue very poorly that caused us all great anxiety! It got so bad, that our daughter said she would want to run and hide when she would hear his foot steps coming down the hall! Unfortunately, she told us that after she graduated from the school! How sad is that, especially for a Christian school! We know other families that pulled their child(ren) from the school because of bullying and problems with the principal! In fairness, the superintendant did quickly deal with one bullying issue because it was so depraved! We do thank Mr. T., Mrs. E. (Resource) and Mrs. J., who were a great support to our daughter and us, in grades 7 and 8!! You're the reason we stayed with WMEMS!
