They have a very good program dealing with kids who have special needs. The teachers assistants are so patient and kind. All the children seem to love going to class. They take the kids who have special needs on outing and into community. Teaching them from the very basics on how to ride and behave on a bus and how to function in society. Good job everyone!!

A school with a lot of clubs and opportunities. BUT seems disorganized. My experience there was difficult as an extremely shy person. There was a lot of talk about mental health there, which was good. I just wish I never felt pressured to drop a course (work experience) because I felt like the Educational Assistant in that class was against me. This Educational Assistant tried to get me in trouble with my teacher, even though I did nothing wrong. They downgraded me, and basically told me I wasn't good enough. They destroyed the little self-confidence and trust that I worked so hard to build. I felt bad energy whenever I was around them, it's like this EA personally hated me or something. They even accused me of lying to them. They were supposed to drop me off home one day, but ended up stopping at a grocery store near the school and giving me dirty looks! I went to my counsellor's office two times, and had a breakdown both times. I reported the events to my counsellor, I was given the option to drop the course. My teacher came to me and apologized for believing what the EA told them and for getting mad at me. The EA gave me an indirect apology through my counsellor (Which I believed at first, but they went back to the same negative behaviour the next day.) I couldn't face that EA anymore after that, so I dropped the course. During the rest of my time at Vincent Massey, I still received no apology. There are many more students like me, and if that EA can't handle their job in education, they should just quit. I wish more was done by the school about this incident. I was being bullied by a staff member. Schools talk about trying to stop bullying all the time, but not much is actually done about it. And one more thing, I feel like this school cares too much for its reputation. It should focus more on becoming better instead of just looking or sounding like a better school.

the skate-park and the video class made it worth while. good teachers. questionable handling of bullying.

This school cares more about their image then the students themselves. It’s beyond dramatic and not worth it. Bullying and un-inclusion is a big problem. I hated my highschool experience and definitely tried to spend as little time on campus as I could. I know many who share the experience. It is clique central and problematic. A fair amount of teachers are biased and rude.
