I had a great experience at Selim's Antiques exploring through the teacups and finding treasure. I bought a set of gorgeous champagne glasses that were in great condition, and had a nice chat with the owner who packed them up nicely for me.

The best local, family owned business there is! Selim’s Antiques has been a Winnipeg gem for as long as I can remember. The owner is knowledgeable and kind. A welcoming store with items you didn’t even know you needed. I would highly recommend for the truly educated “antiquer” or anyone just wanting to find something unique. More inventory than you even knew possible from the storefront. A definite recommendation from me!
Customers are not welcomed for negotiating the price. Why don’t you put price tags on each item if you don’t want people negotiate with you? Or you whole store just try to rip people off? They want you to pay whatever they ask for. We are not welcomed for only negotiating one item. I can’t even believe I already bought a furniture from there. Treating this store and owner with polite and friendly attitude but he didn’t care. They owner said : “don’t buy it if you can not afford it.” I will never believe these words came out from a decent old antique collector. Do not ever look at this store. He is not decent person and this store does not deserve respect.
Dan and his dad are knowledgeable and super helpful. They have a beautiful store, with many treasures. If you need or want jewellery for any event either costume or real, you need to visit! We have purchased necklaces and charms for baptisms, communion, graduations and birthdays.
Selim and Dan have always taken such good care of us, helping us find the perfect piece of jewelry at a fair price. They are knowledgeable and intuitive and always have great suggestions. I highly recommend Selim's Antiques.
