Inferno's Bistro Reviews | Rating 4.6 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Inferno's Bistro is located in Winnipeg, Canada on 312 Des Meurons St. Inferno's Bistro is rated 4.6 out of 5 in the category modern french restaurant in Canada. The In Ferno's story is one steeped in a rich culinary history over three generations. It starts with Fern Kirouac Sr., a classically trained French chef who owned and inspired the cherished Winnipeg restaurants, Red Lantern on Hamel Avenue and La Vieille Gare on Des Meurons Road in the 70's and 80's. Fern Sr. sadly left us in 1990, but would later see his son, Fern Kirouac Jr. and grandsons, Chris and Zack pick up where their father and grandfather left off to bring back to Winnipegers and visitors the same authentic and unforgettable culinary experience that the family was known for a few decades earlier. In December 2003 Fern Jr. was inspired to open, In Ferno's Bistro in the heart of St. Boniface. It is considered Winnipeg's Premier Bistro by the team and its customers. It was named it one of Winnipeg's best new restaurants of 2004 and has shown no signs of stopping. In 2012, Fern. Jr. and his son Chris opened a second location at 414 Academy Road - In Ferno's on Academy. Both locations are known for their inventive menus, wine lists, warm family atmospheres and are signature venues for jazz performed by locals and visiting musicians - something the Kirouacs are proud to support and consider integral to the In Ferno's experience.

Ordered To go. Everything cooked perfectly and packed nicely. Beef medallions with pepper sauce and the French onion soup.

Easily the best meal I've had in the city. They have a gluten free specific menu, wete very conscious of my allergy and provided perfect service. Had the best night.

We got take out here tonight and it did not disappoint! We started with the mushroom brie and tomato goat cheese tarts. The mushroom brie lacked a bit of flavour but the tomato one was delicious. We got their lasagna and bison short rib special - amazing! Both full of flavour, fall off the bone meat. Yum! We can't wait to try other menu items.

What can I say? Besides never disappointed when I go to Inferno's to eat. Great options, fresh food and amazing presentation. Atmosphere is fantastic. Covid precautions / social distancing in place. See you again soon! Bon appetit!

We have ordered from Inferno's 3 times this year, and each time the food and pickup service has been top-notch. We had the roasted beef ribeye meal over Christmas Eve, and the tenderness and flavour of the meat was outstanding. The food is always ready usually within 20 minutes of ordering for pickup. The portion sizes were also very generous and filling. We have also had the coconut mussels several times and they have yet to disappoint on flavour and quality. We can't wait to try their dine-in and patio dining options next year, but until then we will continue to order from here during the pandemic - it has become a favourite spot for us to order from in Winnipeg!
