More people need to know about this place. Amazing cats need to be adopted and volunteers and donations are always needed. This no kill shelter deserves your respect.
I used to volunteer here for about three years. I loved the cats but the staff was so rude to me. I am a very shy person and never spoke much to anyone so I don't know why they would've not liked me. They said I was \unreliable\ because I couldn't make it every single week and tried to make me feel guilty for it. To be fair, not everyone was rude. Some were very nice. It was the owner and few staff who were rude. One of my worst memories from volunteering there was when I was brushing some cat fur off my sweater because there was clumps and one of the staff notices me doing this and says \if you don't like cat fur then this isn't the place for you\. First of all I have two cats so I'm used to cat fur. Second I'm allergic so yeah I'm gonna brush the majority of it off and last I wouldn't have volunteered in the first place if I didn't like cats. It got to the point where as much as I loved these cats I would rather volunteer at a place where I felt welcomed by the people too. They seemed to think I did not care about the cats for not being there weekly. Even though I would go knowing I would come home with hives and not being able to breathe. I loved those cats with all my heart. Regardless of how I feel about the people what they are doing is a great thing, and I hope all these cats get homes.
They really take care of all the cats and babies. Wish I could take all of them.
CSC is dedicate to serving the needs of abandoned and feral cat colonies. They adopt out some, fully people friendly. I went in for a look and wanted to come home with 30 or so. Maybe 2 next time. An asset to this city, yet not in any way funded by it.
