Like many other people who have posted about Comics America I would highly recommend not going here. The owner is a huge jerk and he asks was to much for any of this comments. The only reason that I did not give it 1 star is because there was a nice man who worked here. He was very friendly and knew a lot. Other than that go find another comic book store for sure.

Huge inventory, owner must be independently wealthy to order so much product and sell so little... Unfortunately everything is overpriced. Does the owner truly want to sell his products? Action Figures are sold in sets which average \u003e80. What the!?!? Wanted to get my son some Marvel Universe figures for his collection but they were not within my price range. Owner is too aggressive selling overstock books to you at the counter. Store also has a customer rewards card which is truly a scam. Go visit Galaxy/Raven/Comic Factory IV instead.

This is my usual comic book store to go to around Winnipeg, there is a phenomenal selection in this place! I understand it's a little cramped but that honestly doesn't bother me too much. Stuff can be overpriced but just try your best to avoid that stuff. The owners and employees are typically good and know what your looking for, but be careful because the Owner of the store can be a bit grumpy!!

The only reason this store is getting 1 star is because of their employee Troy. I came in a while ago looking for a comic and Troy came up to help me. Rather than trying to badger me into buying other stuff for the incredibly inflated prices they mark their merchandise, he talked to me about the comic series like a person, not a salesperson. He also suggested other titles I might like and when I expressed interest in a few, he ran off to find them right away so I wouldn't have to hunt for them. Troy is the saving grace of this store. The family that runs Comics America are rude, con artists who don't care about the people who come there. They just care about the money (particularly Joe). While they do have a good selection of comics and collectibles, the store is a fire hazard like something out of Hoarders. I would rather travel far out of my way to go to a better store where I am treated like a human being and not ripped off. If Troy took over the store, I would come back every week. But until that happens, I will warn everyone I know NOT to go to Comics America

A great place for comics and memorabilia. A little expensive, but they have a stunning variety.

If this could go below 1 star it would. There are a couple of nice employees but that's about it. The selection is good although that becomes a moot point as the prices are insane and theres a whole bait and switch mentality with Joe regarding sales/deals. That being said I do recommend that you go at least once. That way you too can have your very own "Joe" story. Also please note that the most likely reason that Comics America has such a "high rating" (currently 2.4 out of 5) is most likely because of a little padding regarding the reviews/ratings on here. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe some people do have a great experience and this is totally the place for them. If thats the case, more power to you and please ignore my review. However, spend a couple of minutes and scroll down. There's a couple of reviews that are 5/5 and I have a sneaking suspicion that those are not real customer reviews.

Old comics, dirty store, disorganized, and most of all rude, dismissive, and at times aggressive approach to customer service. I took my 11 year old son to this store hoping to have a fun afternoon. The comics are not priced by the store, rather the owner determines value based on currency exchange of the cover price. However, if the Canadian price is higher (yes that happens sometimes) he will go with the Canadian price, but if the American price is higher he goes by a system that is posted in small by the cash register. I ended up purchasing from him only because my son had already gotten his hopes up and we had walked 1/2 an hour to get there. If I could give this place a zero I would. No thanks from the owner for the purchase but he did manage an endless rant about the current Liberal government.

Can't go lower? Just called to ask if they had a game....they have no inventory management at all and seem to think it is ridiculous to expect that they can look up something to see if they have it in stock. They expect you to come down to look for yourself because they can't inventory, or organize anything. Their pricing is horrible, and the markup is crazy. Use the internet. You will save money and time. I like dealing with local business, but not at the expense of both my time and money.
