My family started coming close to 30 years ago to Wah Court Inn and later May Wah Inn. We used to drive over from MI frequently. Now everyone is older, it’s hard to travel so far, and it has been a few years. When I was a small child I especially loved the steamed squid dim sum. Now I have eaten dim sum all over the world and still I measure every meal against this place. Definitely one of the best in North America, if not the world.
This place is my favourite Chinese restaurant I have been to by far. It is even among the top five of any restaurant I have ever been to. Super friendly staff, the most consistently delicious food, and great family atmosphere. 5 stars!!! Side note: ask for the green beans- they are not on the dim sum menu but are super delicious!
We went for Dim Sum. The food was so hot and fresh we had to let some of it sit and cool down. Really good as usual.
Nice meal again yesterday/Saturday. We were able to order items off the dim sum menu just in case they weren’t showing up on the trays at the time, gave them some heads up on what was wanted at the table. Not normally done on weekends but it helps to be a long-time customer; first place I come when I’m in town - bar none! Don’t forget that it’s equally possible to order dim sum off their dim sum menu on weekdays too! That makes dim sum possible seven days a week. Who could ask for anything more? All dishes were fresh. Nothing was overdone/steamed so that the har gow and siu mai were tender but not mushy. Finding the small duck’s egg yolk in each lián róng bāo is fun. Consistent quality and flavour each and every visit. Love it. Thanks Jim! SOLID FIVE STARS ️️️️️.
