Over the phone I gave a brief description of my problem that I had with my employer. I made a point to tell them who my employer was and that we were unionized because I'd ready talked to 4 other lawyers who couldn't help me for those reasons. He said come in so we can talk. I paid 170. He heard a more thorough explanation of what I briefly described over the phone. After the hour, he told me that he can't help me because my employer was unionized and that I needed to go to the local which was the whole problem. The local told me that the company said something different from what I said and so they couldn't help me. Point being, this lawyer told me they could help me to get me into the office to pay 170 for something they'd already known they can't help me for. I should have said something about it then but I didn't really think about what was happening to me until later.
