Such a beautiful place. Despite being open to the sky, the place is quiet and you can hear the crickets in the wall. The history of the church enchanted our 4yr old. Its picturesque and made for a beautiful backdrop for photography. You dont have to pay to enter, but donations are welcome. We didnt see any washrooms.

If you are looking for a quiet place, this is the best place. It is a place where time passes slowly and healing takes place.
Went on a Sunday, it was rather busy with other sightseers; unfortunately they consisted of screaming children and people jabbering on speaker phone. I imagine that if you were to go during guided tour hours it would be more enjoyable. The structure itself was most impressive and well maintained, there are informational plaques to read and a picture of what it used to look like.
They've done an exceptional job of restoring the walls and maintaining this former church. Great photo taking to be had. A friendly young lady was there to answer any questions we had.
It is a surprising large ruin in great condition. We like to visit cemeteries around older properties and churches. There are some excellent signs to give history of importance of this church. Stories of early Scots interesting.
