Arctic Range Adventure Reviews | Rating 4.7 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Arctic Range Adventure is located in Whitehorse, Canada on 208A Strickland St. Arctic Range Adventure is rated 4.7 out of 5 in the category tour operator in Canada. Home to the smallest population of any of Canada’s provinces and territories, the Yukon is vast, sparse, and houses the kind of wild and untamed beauty that can only be appreciated when you’re fully immersed in it. Arctic Range Adventure, based in the Yukon’s capital of Whitehorse, offers guests unique and breathtaking tours across the Yukon wilderness, Alaska, and deep into the Arctic Circle. These unforgettable excursions include once-in-a-lifetime activities such as driving ice roads, experiencing First Nation culture, dog sledding, canoeing, hiking, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling and the chance to see the Aurora Borealis electrify the starry night sky. An exciting selection of day tours whisk visitors on canoeing trips, icefield tours, sightseeing flights, and into the unspoilt heart of Kluane National Park, whilst the longer excursions plunge guests into two or more nights in the depths of the Canadian wilderness where they will stay in luxury accommodations and enjoy action-packed days traversing the landscapes and tranquil evenings viewing the northern lights. These day tours and guided roundtrips offer a great variety of summer and winter activities, which allow guests to experience this incredible part of the world all year long. Arctic Range understand that 21st century tourism requires more than just offering tourists a glimpse into another world; now more and more tourists want to fully immerse into this new world and get to know it more personally. We also understand that tourists want comfort and ease, that’s why Arctic Range ensure high quality and luxury with all of our excursions. For example, unlike other Aurora Borealis tour operators, Arctic Range has set up the unique and exclusive AuroraCentre where our guests can enjoy the magic of watching the glowing green sky in style and comfort under the open sky of the North.

We went on 2 tours, Ice Fishing and Aurora Viewing. The staff are very knowledgeable, and professional. Languages spoken were primarily English, Spanish, and French. Well organized. We understand that mother nature is unpredictable, and that there is no guarantee you'll see the Aurora. However, the value for the tour if you don't see the Aurora is where our problem lies. How about some local foods like Elk, Bison, or Ooligan grease? Or anything really to add value, even if only on nights where nothing is visible. Even some cocktails or drinks to help pass time. I also seen tourists who only had cell phones. Why not have a photographer taking / emailing photos to clients? Even if its only the stars as the backdrop. Anyways, Ice Fishing was interesting. I wouldn't say fun, but we did enjoy it. Wish we had a longer time to catch something. Didn't catch anything. But staff brought hotdogs which we cooked over a fire to fill our bellies. The staff honestly made the tours. Helped with camera settings, and orientation of the Aurora. Hope my review helps and you get a chance to catch a fish or see the Aurora ️ If my review helped, please give me a Cheers!

Did two tours through this group. First was the Wildlife and Hot spring tour. Pick up from the hotel was great, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide (Jennifer). Really went above and beyond. Hot springs were an interesting color but otherwise very relaxing. Second tour was the Auroral viewing tour. First night there was a hiccup with communication and I was quite upset. The next day it was quickly rectified and you can tell they really care about each and every guest that steps onto their buses. Had an AMAZING evening with Aki, got some amazing photos and told Canadian poetry around the fire while roasting marshmallows. They took us to a different spot to see the lights so I was watching the sky light up while standing on a frozen lake. 10/10 thank you for making this the experience of a lifetime. Definitely recommend this tour group.

We did the aurora tour. I have to admit that the tour is very well organized. They have a nice little hut where they serve hot tea and chocolate with cookies. The guide is very knowledgeable but his English was not the greatest. The tour is tailored more for the Japanese market. Unfortunately due to the cloudy sky we were not able to see the northern lights.

I wanted an adventure, so I decided to go to the Yulon alone. I got the adventure I wanted and it was remarkable. I booked a trip and multiple day excursions with Arctic Range Adventure including 3 nights of seeing the northern lights, seeing the wildlife preserve and hot springs, dog sledding and snow mobiling and it was all amazing and worth every penny ! The town is cute, has quite a few good places to eat, the people are nice and the environment is breaktakingly beautiful. Karin (bookings or customer service) was extremely helpful in doing my booking and schedules, so thanks !!
