I am writing this review after eating couple of times now and every time received Delectable authentic Indian meal. I finally found my go to Indian place after such a long time. The staff and owner is very friendly and know and treat their customers really well. After ordering once lady remembered my spice level. Highly recommended!!!

The wait for my food to arrive at my table was very long. The server did not pay any attention to me. I felt invisible. She refilled other customers water glass and overlooked me several times. I waited patiently to see if she would make her way to my table, when she didn't, I politely asked for a refill. On a positive note: The food was delectable! Very tasty and flavorful. The service needs improvement, but I give the food 4 stars!
Very good food. I highly recommend to those looking for authentic North Indian food, worth trying. I tried for the first time a month ago and was very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. I added Balti to the list of my favourite restaurants. Very happy to have them in Durham region.
This is how Indian style comfort food should taste! Everything tastes fresh. Garlic naan are huge and have perfect soft texture. The Lamb Saag was so good it became a religious experience. I finally found my go-to place for those times when I crave amazing curries and sauces. The staff are very warm and courteous, too. This made my Saturday.
We ordered Chicken Biryani, Tandoori Sampler for 2 ppl and Eggplant Bharta. 1.Biryani, utterly disappointing this surly was not biryani, saltless and no taste at all. 2. Tandoori Sampler, every piece of chicken, salmon fish was coated with flour. The only 2 things that were good was the paneer tikka and seekh kebab 3. Eggplant Bharta, the only item that was enjoyed! When one has eaten a good biryani with great basmati rice and tandoored or bbq or grilled meat this sure was a real failure! I am sorry but very disappointed!
Best vindalho and butter chicken with Naan I have ever eaten. I have been ordering from them from a long time. Peanut and egg free dishes. Delicous food with excellent flavors. Great cook and excellent service.
Great food and super friendly staff and owner. My wife loves Indian food but not the spice and this place keeps great flavor in their mild dishes. The garlic Naan is really great as is the rice pudding desert.
Absolutely phenomenal Indian food in Whitby! My husband and I love butter chicken and have been snobs about our Indian food since prior to now, we had lived downtown for the last 10 years. We tried a few places in Durham and couldn’t find what we were looking for (we really enjoy sweeter butter chicken). To our surprise Balti has that butter chicken we have been searching for! Everything was fresh, flavourful and tasted homemade with love. Delish - can’t wait to place our next order!
