A pretty hike that I’d deem suitable for “Advanced Beginner”. The first third up is the steepest part, but still very manageable. You’ll pass smaller lakes along the way to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Vancouver and the North Shore. Bring some nuts if you want to make friends with the chipmunks. I also highly recommend packing your swim suit and taking a dip in Cabin Lake on your way down.l. Only giving a 4 star because the restrictions make it difficult to get a day pass (opens at 6am for same day passes and the Saturday morning slots were gone by 6:03am). Went in the afternoon instead. It was 9.5kms return based on the trails we took.

Fun hike! Not hard, rolling hills besides the ski hill at the start to black mountain!

Nice and easy hike from Cypress ski resort parking. Couldn't see any views because of dense fog but the hike and lakes on the way are beautiful.

This hike is worth the effort. The first hour is the challenging part as you make your way up the ski hill on a rather rocky trail. Stopping frequently to catch our breathe, it tools us 1he to do this leg. The next 40mins from cabin lake to the bluff is a lot easier with some ups and down and a few rooty areas, but overall a lot less strenuous. The chipmunks at the bluff are adorable but please don't feed them. Spending about 30-45mins on the bluff, the entire treck round trip took us about 3.5-4hrs (the hike back down is faster but hard on the knees). We went on a Friday afternoon in mid July and had the bluff to ourselves. So worth it. Bugs: there were a few around on the track. A bit annoying around the face but non on the bluff.

The journey to the eagle bluffs is just like a roller coaster ride. You get to see the good view (only at the end) but you also face lots of mosquitos, rocks, and mud. So in brief, destination is amazing but the journey isn’t.
