Working with JWS was phenomenal!! We had just a regular basement to finish and a pretty unique room to add to it. They went above and beyond! They added fun details for our kid's area like some play space under the stairs and key details that made the room function perfectly. For our unique room that we added, we envisioned a cigar, scotch and wine bar. It wasn't easy to get all of our ideas out, but once John and Sheila heard what we were thinking, they made our vision come to life and be better than what we expected! We have key features like drawers that are humidors for cigars, amazing wood beams that they had to fit perfectly with the bar, concrete counter tops, brick wall behind lighted shelves, and so much more! They were super easy to work with, listening to everything we had in our minds, and they were always super responsive. I remember that I went to pick out the fireplace and I messaged Sheila to see if the one I liked would work, and she got back to me in seconds so I could buy it on the spot!! We looked at about 5 companies before JWS, all were more expensive and didn't really get our vision. We genuinely could not be happier with John, Sheila and Brock for their time and personal attention during the job, and the whole team in general was a pleasure to work with. We would work with them again In a heartbeat and have recommended them to many people!!! Conor and Jess :)

We are so glad we chose JWS to design and build an incredible backyard oasis for us last year. They came highly recommended to us and now we sing their praises any time we can. JWS created our gorgeous deck and pavilion, complete with stone wall and gas fireplace so we practically live in our backyard now. The project was and still is the talk of our town. We back onto a trail and people still stop to talk about it. Thank you JWS for all of your hard work and for being all around amazing people to work with.
John and the entire team at JWS contributed in some way to the amazing backyard living space that they created for us. The process from start to finish was completed with superb quality and excellent communication. The team's attention to detail was outstanding. I have recommended JWS for anyone I know who is looking to add or alter living space on the their property. One of a Kind. One at a Time is so true for JWS.
John and team are aces. They can craft anything. Had some special Mahogany milled to perfection for a custom electric guitar -- Super efficient, and gave some thoughtful laminating advice. DEFINITELY will be going back and recommending them. !!!
We've had JWS design/build 3 custom projects at our home, and each one is fantastic: a second-floor deck with stone bar, retractable shade, and glass railings; a basement wall-unit with reclaimed wood and stacked stone mantel; and a complete master ensuite bathroom renovation with custom cabinetry, heated stone flooring, and curbless shower. If you can dream it, they can build it. John's designs are creative and exciting, and Sheila & Brock's workmanship is beautiful. The team have introduced us to a number of wonderful tradespeople too, which we've used for other projects. The projects have been well-managed, communication has been excellent, and they keep the site clean during and after work. We are delighted to be starting our 4th project with JWS!
