Soon after we walked into Porter's we were met with welcoming and helpful staff. To our surprise we were able to order custom furniture and got exactly what we wanted on time and on budget. We looked at various retail furniture stores and found that they didn’t have the style or quality we were looking for. Our daughter advised us to have a look at Porters Solid Wood Furniture on Hillside Ave. We are so happy we did. This is a family business who prides themselves on quality solid wood furniture, good service and no pressure while looking. They do give excellent advice and are happy to assist when required. We really liked the quality and style of furniture they offer. Furniture that will last for years and years if looked after. We dealt with Mike Porter and he was so very helpful to us. We can’t express enough what a positive experience this was for my wife and I. We highly recommend that you give them a chance and your business. Where better to buy then a quality family run business where your money stays local. Ticks all our boxes.

I have purchased two different items from Porter's at different times and had them delivered. I was impressed with their selection and their prices are quite reasonable considering the quality you receive. It appears to be run solely by the owner, who is probably overworked yet very personable and happy to help. It's rather evident he cares about his business and what his clientele think of him, calling it \his life\. I enjoyed shopping here and talking to him. Buying from this business feels like you're contributing to your community rather than some distant corporation, and I intend to come back in the future.
