In Victoria, these are the best they come to Montreal-style bagels; thin and chewy. The cream cheese spreads are a great compliment. This store is not in my neighbourhood, but definitely worth the drive. I'd give them 4.5 stars.

As a Montrealer, I have high standards for bagels. They aren't exactly St. Viateur but still very good. I go often and really enjoy their bagels.

Great bagels at a good price. Their cream cheese is easily some of the best out there, whipped to perfection and tastes just the way you hope it will. Cinnamon bagels with their sun-dried tomato cream cheese is the way to go.

I was raised in Montreal, a block and a half away from the original St. Viateur Bagel Shop. These bagels were a staple in my life for over 25 years. Then living in Ontario, Alberta & BC I was always disappointed in the various versions of bagels, until I found Mount Royal Bagel in Vancouver & now Victoria. The original flavor & texture. These are unquestionably the authentic Montreal style. Unmatchable.
