I am quite shocked that CHEK TV would feature a Cannabis shop across the street from Route 14 Restaurant. Perhaps the two are connected. Will be sure not visit either.

A heartwarming book about the miraculous survival of this amazing television station, its dedicated, kind, knowledgeable, and passionate crew, and the importance CHEK plays in the broader community (and how CHEK makes, and has made, Vancouver Island a better place). There are many television stations in the world, but only a few play such a crucial role in their communities as CHEK. They really are, as they say, "Your Island's Own".

Picture this....your child is out playing basketball and loses a memorial ring. Your child is devastated and so are you. The ring was bought when my late best friend was alive. He has since passed away. Next came the the passing of my precious daughter my son's sister. I reached out to Chek news begging for help only to have my email ignored, when I made the comment that if they didn't want to help they could've just said so. Then I was contacted by April Lawrence, who told my to call and talk to Keith. Then absolutely nothing from them. My son sat around crying for days, when I told we going to get help he was so happy. Well the help never came. How rude and uncaring can you be. Then I received an email from Ben O'Hara at that point I told him I forwarded everything to Keith for review. Not a word back! I find this to be absolutely despicable to hurt our family and especially my son! I thought this company was by the people and for the people....but I see it's actually for the selected few they think are good enough to be on their show. Shame on them all...again....to hurt a child and a family who have had devastating losses such as ours...shame on you!

Read and learn. Whatever happened to UNBIASED news reporting? From now on, I will find my news coverage elsewhere.
