Cascadia Martial Arts is an amazing spot for anyone who is looking to get into martial arts, great atmosphere for beginners. The staff there are very friendly and always make you feel welcome, and make you feel happy to be there. It is a great spot if you are looking to learn to basics, or simply just get a good workout in. Classes with Duncan are always a highlight for me he always pushes me and in class and in our personal training sessions to move toward my goals. I would highly recommend Cascadia to anyone in the area

Cascadia is a wonderful fitness centre in James Bay with the staff to match! I had the pleasure of working with Duncan; he is very patient, and never shows any signs of restlessness, which is undoubtedly important to first-timers such as myself! He’s very concise in his demonstrations, and encouraging in the trainee’s (me) replications. Duncan gives good constructive feedback and overall his great sense of humour and light-heartedness makes the whole workout a lot more fun, rather than daunting! I would highly recommend Duncan as a personal trainer.

Duncan Rumak - Personal Training: I can't say enough about Duncan Rumak as my personal trainer. I have been training with Duncan for several months and he is: effective, extremely knowledgeable, clearly invested in my success, supportive, friendly, collaborative and always positive. When I came to Duncan I had slipped into an overweight, sedentary, office lifestyle and I lacked strength, balance, athleticism, cardio, and flexibility. Duncan evaluated me, listened carefully to my goals, and found the right starting point for me as an individual. Before I knew it he had helped me to built a foundation and feel much stronger. Duncan takes a holistic approach and talks about nutritional habits and the three pillars: sleep, food, exercise. I am now losing inches and weight as well as getting stronger. I've also returned to kickboxing, hiking and jogging. Duncan provides expert guidance and tailored workouts and he has taught me a lot about technique and how to leverage different training styles so that I can also maintain on my own - something he wants to empower his clients to do. Duncan is where theory meets execution. I would recommend him to anyone. Kickboxing: What a fantastic fitness center and team. I love the high energy kickboxing classes - with wave master striking bags for everyone! This is a friendly environment of experts with participants of all levels and classes that allow you to work at your own intensity level, especially if you're new. All the exercise, expertise and support you could want with none of the intimidation.
