You can never get a real human voice at the end of the phone. Wait times for customer service are long and there is no opportunity to leave a number that someone would hopefully call you back. A simple question cannot be answered. Reminds me why I usually use my credit union instead of visiting BMO.

When getting our mortgage through telephone and emails. It was very difficult to get answers to questions, never did get some questions answered. Told they’d get back to us but didn’t. Mortgage broker we did talk to was difficult and confusing to understand. This is not our first mortgage and we understand the system very well but this was the most difficult process we’ve ever gone through getting a loan.

About 3 weeks ago, I went to the local Vernon branch. I saw a large placard was at the front door. No signs were visible that wearing a mask was mandatory. I walked in and a female employee from behind the counter, in a loud voice, calls out telling me to wear a mask. I put on my mask. I then went back outside to find that mask sign. Guess where I found it? - hidden behind their large free standing placard. I moved the placard out of the way of that sign and that is when the same loud female employee comes out to grab the placard away from me. I had to tell her in a stern voice, pointing to the sign telling her to never block or hide this sign. Not once did she apologize for the error . Then she said the inside gate was closed. I again told her it was not, it was open. She was really rude. I did not interact with any of the other employees, so this comment is only about that one female employee.

All the ladies working the front lines are Superstars! There should be no reason anyone under the age of sixty should be standing in line waiting to be helped by one of the ladies who work in one of the most dangerous jobs there is right now. You can deposit that at all ATM, you can print your statements at home, you can find your direct deposit/pre-authorized debit info on the BMO app. All these trivial baking needs need not the added risk to the ladies. They are professionals who can help with your most sensitive banking details, don't waste their time, your time, or my time. Use your brains, so these amazing ladies can continue helping you find the transit number on your void cheque after you set up dd for the umpteenth time.

Had an amazing experience with Nicole this morning. My cards weren’t working, turns out if you pay to many bills at once you can’t tap for McDonald’s coffee. Any ways she had it all sorted out in about 1 minute and had me on my way. Thank you Nicole.
