After losing our dog Micca - she was a rescue and we had her for 15 really great years - we had an empty house for 6 months... and we were finally ready for a new dog. We went to the SPCA West Island and there we found the latest addition to our family. Luna is a Husky/Malamute mix and the people at SPCA were really great. No pressure, they let us take Luna for a walk, spend some time with her outside and she had had all her shots and was in great shape. I would highly recommend getting a rescue dog, giving them a home, there are always great dogs to chose from. Nice staff as well

I adopted my cat Po 6 years ago and my family and I love him so much! He was an adult cat (approx. 1.5 years old) when we fell in love with him. I would not hesitate to adopt another animal at the SPCA Ouest. Their facilities are clean and the animals are well cared for. There are different animals with different ages.
I have donated to them in the past but I never receive a tax receipt. Not last year or before that. Spoke to a Remi, who seemed nice, but promises aren't kept. Guess I will donate to the Montreal SPCA instead.. I have proof that i donated. How can i not be in the database? You sent confirmation of donation receipt on December 19, 2019. I am NOT being deceitful here. EDITED on December 40, 2020 After communicating with Remi, I decided to try 1 more time. Within seconds, I got my receipt for 150 donation. I changed my rating to 5 stars, because we need to look forward to the future. Happy New Years to all.
We rescued Leo in February 2020. As this was our first dog, we were very new to all of this. We had so many questions and your staff was incredible. They asked all the right questions of us and were incredibly patient (we spent over 3 hours there), and honest in their responses to our many inquiries. We left knowing that we had made one of the best decisions for our family. We are forever grateful.
On a cold and stormy January day, we walked into the SPCA Ouest and met Shiloh. He melted our hearts and warmed our home. He is a perpetual puppy with the belief that everyone wants to meet him, always. The group that cared for Shiloh’s mom and raised her puppies did a phenomenal job. It takes a village to raise a family and forever, we are grateful that you started the process. We are proud and honoured to continue to provide Shiloh with the best care possible. Thank you SPCA Ouest for the many lives you’ve enhanced by rescuing countless animals.
