Been here many times and considered a GO TO spot for yakitori lovers. They use a special type of Japanese charcoal called Binchotan, which burns hotter and cleaner, enhancing the natural flavours of the meats. Drool inducing indeed Only reason Poo is giving 4 stars here is the food came out just warm instead of right off the grill. Could’ve been busy but timing makes all the difference. Did a review at their Denman location too, but sharing these photos for those needing some inspiration

The servers are really accomodating. Food is really good. Also the drinks! This is a good place to hangout with groups of friends.( i went with my friend so its like really quiet and were just enjoying the silence and food). Drinking and bbq skewers plus good stories to share. I like tha ambiance inside. Feels like pirates in a carribean theme...but its Japanese. One star missing due to high prices...but its really a good experience!. The place is really tight but servers were able to take precautionary measures and comply with pamdemic regulations.
One cozy skewer japanese restuarant with variety of selection. Including beef, pork, chicken, lamb, duck, cheese, vege, and more with matching seasoning to bring out the taste in the most suitable combination. Best to make reservation ahead via phone or online to ensure seating on time and better make the order in a timely manner as the seating is for 2 hours max
This place is amazing The staffs were so friendly, also the food was delicious
Friendly staff jointly greets all their guests as they enter the dining area as well as when you leave the venue. The server we had was attentive and informative about the menu. We had a variety of items from the seafood salad, chicken skewers to the cooked entrees. All were quite tasty.
