I ordered from Westcoast Poke through my Ritual app. The experience was good; they had my meal ready for pickup and it was a smooth process. The poke bowl I had tasted good, but I felt the portion size was small for the cost in comparison to other restaurants. That is the main reason I wouldn’t return.

Amazing sashimi grade salmon. High quality raw fish and cooked shrimp, absolutely no fishy smell like other poke places and fresh salad and toppings too!
I've been an avid goer of WCP for 2 years, working in Richmond I visited their Steveston location weekly. I ordered a BYO bowl (my usual) from West 8th off Ritual today, big disappointment. I've had it a few times from this location and just thought it was a bad day, but being my third order I know it's just a consistency/personnel issue. My big gripes. 1. My spicy crab salad tasted extremely metallic and off, it was inedible. 2. Ordering through ritual there is a per-cost basis for sauces which does not apply in-store. 3. The food preparation is not the same as Richmond. The size and texture of fish and toppings is inconsistent. Would recommend just going to Richmond if you're craving WCP.
Constant steady flow of customers for lunch. It's not that this this isn't fast food, when they make your bowl it's pretty fast. It's that a line up of 4 ppl makes for a 10 min edit to get to the front of the line, and add to that they are also fulfilling online orders (steady arrival of bike meal couriers). If you can wait 5-10 min in line, you get some good food. They give good value for your money, tasty and pretty fresh too.
This place has long been my go-to even before Covid. My usual fav is Coast because I love crab salad and avocado!!! Recently I tried their Gyudon and it was pretty awesome to have a running egg yolk on top. I understand that the portion is a bit small comparing to others but I’m also assuming the rent for such location may be a reason that the food price is a tad pricier. My pre-covid office is located downtown and I noticed some places have also recently raised their price but not Westcoast Poke. Staffs are always friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I did not use Ritual because there are more rewards and benefits offered from Westcoast’s own loyalty program.
