I dropped in to my favorite store in Granville Island yesterday. I was celebrating the anniversary of my father's death. Benjamin, the artist and owner, was a delightful bright spot in my day. He is so passionate about his work it is inspiring. I bought three momentoes to celebrate my father's memory. So beautiful!

Benjamin is an absolute sweet gem and it was neat getting to watch them work the hot glass! :o) check them out on the show Blown Away available on Netflix!

I had the privilege of taking the paperweight course with Benjamin the other day! Got the opportunity to gather some glass and learn some basic starting techniques of glass blowing! Friendly staff and an amazingly supportive environment to get your feet wet and check out how amazing this skill is, and how difficult it can be to make the amazing pieces that they boast in their gallery! Keep up the good work Vancouver studio Glass and Thanks so much Benjamin!! A fantastic experience.

I ran into this shop while visiting Granville Island. Although I didn't buy anything, I had great conversation with the folks inside the shop. They were really knowledgable about glass. The work that was produced made me appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship. A for service and real nice people.

Bought a beautiful glass bottle here and had it shipped to my home. When the package came, it was a glass owl (!). Called the store several times for them to fix it. Every time they promised they would send a new shipping code \soon\ to send the owl back so I could get my bottle. Reader, it has been more than a week and they have not sent the shipping code, nor have they been able to say when they will send the shipping code. That's 200 for a glass owl I don't want. At least I don't have to waste time to haul it to the post office to ship it back to them? The stuff is pretty, but don't waste your money here. update: after another couple of weeks, eventually they had me ship the owl to its original recipient and my bottle came to me. Undamaged, but with a great deal of drama. I've returned one star to their rating because this really is beautiful, but buyer beware: don't ship with them! buy in store and take it home yourself.
