Enrolled myself into the PACE 1 course not knowing what to expect. Have always been interested in acting but never knew how to start. This course was very good and I found I got more then I expected. It was a lot more camera focused hands on ‘actual acting’ rather then theory and lecturing. Simon is a very good instructor and is really relatable. He provides honest feedback which was huge when hearing it from someone experienced in the business. This class definitely sparked a deep rooted passion I think I buried away as a kid. 10/10 would recommend if you have any interest in acting at all.

‘On-Camera Acting’ provides essential lessons for actors who want to work on-screen. You are exposed to the process of audition tapes, cold readings and made aware of your methods and how to improve your style of action. It is a fantastic 2-week course that allows you to grasp the basics of how acting on film works and gives a great kickstart to your career! Very wonderful teachers, who are also great acting coaches and mentors, with plenty of experience from both the American and Canadian film industry - but most importantly, have a lot of wisdom to share on how to get things right early on! This acting course is unique in that you are given the opportunity to train yourself and watch how you appear on screen - less about learning lines (like other acting courses) and more about adopting actionable methods to conquer the film industry!
I had always wanted to try acting. But never had the chance before. So I came to VADA to finally try it out and I was very happy that I did! It was even better than I thought. It was a place where I could literally start from scratch and get the proper training and introduction to being in front of the camera. It is a fun and safe environment to come out of your shell and transform into your character on screen. The teachers are great! Simon gave me an awesome introduction into acting and Al Miro is incredible and helped me take everything to the next level! I was able to unlocked a belief and a level of confidence that I have never had before. I highly recommend this place!
I took the PACE 1 course at VADA and from the first class you are put in front of a camera. The quality of training you get here is excellent. The atmosphere is supportive, positive, and fun and Simon fosters an environment that welcomes your mistakes so that he can make you a better actor. Not only did I learn how to audition (both in person and by self-tape) but also how to do commercials, character analysis, and some scene study. This was a phenomenal course and I am eagerly looking forward to PACE 2 where you gain more in depth knowledge.
I had the best experience with vada studios! Couldn't ask for better instructors and acting coaches and classes to prepare me for the acting industry! I am proud to say I am an alumni of vada! Simon and his school got me my first agent, got me some great auditions, professional headshots, got my foot in the door of the film & tv industry confidently! I highly recommend your acting career starts with vada studios! Thanks a bunch for everything Simon and his school have had to offer me! :) Taught me well!
