This place is absolutely one of the most attractive place to eat in the region. Always when I come there I am incredibly happy. They preserve their very high level service and the topmost level of dishes they provide. You always win with this place. Warmly recommended.

The location seems a bit odd. I think it would be the perfect concept for somewhere like Main Street, having said that the trek is well worth it because their dishes are next level amazing! The Tan Tan is my absolute favourite with hour made ramen noodles, steamed kale, squash and this mushroom nut medley thing that’s super yummy. Must try for sure!

I've eaten 4 meals at The Workshop. The first 2 were great! I had high hopes that I had found my new favourite vegetarian restaurant. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong. My third meal was fine enough, not delicious or enjoyable, but it was edible at least. I chalked it up as a one-off lapse in quality. However, my most recent meal featured the same mushy noodles, but with the addition of a truckload of salt - it was completely inedible compost. I'm not typically a complainer in the slightest, but for the price I paid and the quality of the meal that I recieved, I couldn't help but write a negative review. Hopefully they are able to pivot and recapture their potential, but I won't be coming back.

Its great to see a vegetarian restaurant/store in a quiet residential neighbourhood in East Van. I love the rice noodle dish with miso gravy (pictured). The portions were larger than I thought but it was a bit pricy with a tip. There were some zerowaste jars, logo'ed shirts, and waterbottles as well.

I've enjoyed everything at the workshop so far but today was the first time I had the Tokyo ramen bowl. I was blown away by the rich, smooth and complex layers of the broth. After drinking the broth, the finish on the palate is exquisite with long lasting depths of flavor in your mouth. I'm amazed that they extracted so much flavor out of the vegetables for the broth. I had to get it to go, so the presentation was underwhelming, but that's understandable. My only problem is the price. It's too expensive for me. Leaving a two dollar tip on the bowl of ramen comes out to a total of 18 and that's too expensive for me. Because of the price I don't think I could eat it often. That's my only criticism. Otherwise the soup is remarkable and the noodles have a perfect bite and fresh taste. Thank you workshop.

I could so easily spend all my money here. Everything is crafted with care- from the food, to the atmosphere. Friendly staff and really cool products in their retail section. Their mochi is delicious, and I love that they have a bit of a deals section to reduce food waste. Honestly, have never had anything here I haven't loved! Dreaming of that Spicy Tan Tan...
