As a former Music Instructor at the Mozart School of Music, I can say this is without a doubt one of the top music schools in Vancouver. The school’s Director, Olga Lockwood, really cares about each and every student that enters the school and goes above and beyond to make sure they are receiving the best education possible. There are very unique opportunities provided by the Mozart School of Music such as the Gifted Artist's Concerto Gala, Certification Program, and Concerto Competition. Mozart School of Music also has some amazingly skilled, educated and kind instructors. They are very dedicated to their students. The school's Assistant Director, Dr. Jee Yeon Ryu, fostered a collaborative environment to work in and valued the input given by teachers. I will miss working here and all of my former students. I would recommend it to anyone considering music lessons for themselves or their children!

Came here for possible music theory class and the everybody WAS SO RUDE. I was a beginner ARCT student with no repertoire decided yet. However, I came here not for piano lessons, I came here for ARCT MUSIC THEORY. They didn’t even listen to us and they kept telling my parents about how good their piano teachers were and that I should study piano with them. In the end we got inpatient and said we REQUESTED THEORY LESSONS and they were like OOPS IT IS FULL.

The teachers there are fabulous, I appreciate my daughter's piano teacher, he is so nice, kind and patient to the children. The way he approached my daughter really inspire her passion of music even she is only 5 year old. He doesn't simply teach her how to play piano but also lead her to love music. However, when parents register class for this school, you should be really careful for their director Olga, yesterday we were rejected for enrolling next year's piano class because we don't want to attend a group musician A class. Actually we didn't take this class last year, it's a group class, size of 6-7 students aged under 6. The reason we don't want to take it is because my daughter's schedule is pretty full from Monday to Friday, we have to drop her off from one after school program to catch this group lesson. And we both work in DT Vancouver, it takes us 45 mins to pick her up from School and drive all the way to UBC for a 30 min class. They also offer the class on weekends, but we really want kids have more fun to go outside and relax instead of keep her tension and lock in the classroom. We plan to extend 15 more mins for the private lesson, by which teacher can teach her similar contents from the musician class. After explain all to her, we were still refused to enroll the private lesson. We want best interest of children, but definitely the director of this school wants the best interest of something else.
