My favourite place in the whole neighborhood. This is one of those 'can't miss' places where whatever I order I have enjoyed. Like I could literally close my eyes, stab my finger at the menu, and be happy with what I ordered. Also try the specialty drinks. My favourite is the Mombasa tea (with mango and mint). It is so refreshing. For those who are not adventurous, I recommend the jungle ribs. A pleasant dish for the pickiest of eaters.

It was a lovely place, we called before to book a table. When we got there, we had to wait a short while until a table was free. The food was good. We ordered a platter, it came with alittle bit of everything... Kebab, Mushkaki, BBQ chicken, and some I think t-bone steak... It comes with a choice of 2 items, rice, fries or potato... They had a separate kids menu which comes with complementary lollipop candy and 1 juice and 1 Chapman ice-cream cup and a candy.... The kids menu has an activity for them to keep busy while they wait for the the food. Their service was quick, they kept us comfortable and kept coming to ask of we were ok and needed anything and finally towards ask if the food was good, which it was. We ordered some naan and Mary Bhajias on the side too, it was overall an amazing experience... Would recommend anytime!
Awesome food. Worst service. Not gonna dine in again. Take out or delivery will be my best bet for this place. Some advices. Please consider fixing/upgrading the reservation and waiting system. The waiters/servers need more training. They are really polite and friendly but they lack efficiency and skills. Additional staffs should be hired to handle the weekend loads. If a restaurant is overwhelmed just by the increasing number of guests, it shows weak management. BTW washrooms should have at least decently lukewarm water. P.S. I still paid a fair amount of tip only to support the industry.
The menu is definitely more expensive than other East African restaurants.. but the price is reelected in the quality of the food, freshness of ingredients, quality and amount of exotic spices... byfar the best East African food in BC.
I have been here many times, one of my favorite places for large family style meals with a large groups. Always leave with my stomach stuffed.
