The COVID 19 template plan we bought for construction was very detailed. Almost 60 pages of Covid procedures for a couple hundred bucks. Basically when you place your order through their website an ms word version of the document gets immediately emailed to you. All you basically have to do is insert your company logo and company name into the document, which took me less than 10 minutes to do.

So basically Greystone has three options for their online safety manual templates. Template A, Template B and the construction template. We ordered template B as we are not a construction business but we do require a safety committee. This manual covers all the minimum requirements worksafebc wants to see for all mid-size businesses. I think Template A is for very small start up businesses. You get a complete safety manual (covering all policies) including forms for your business for less than 1000 dollars. That is dirt cheap and the quality of the product was great. I would recommend viewing the PDF’s on their webpage to view samples so you know exactly what you are buying.
You can easily take their manlift and forklift courses via their online courses. It seems to be CSA compliant which is a requirement in BC. However you do have to get one of your supervisors to conduct the practical portion of the course. After you complete the theory portion online you can download your certificate right away. The practical evaluation documents are downloadable and needs to be completed at some point to be fully certified.
Order the online JHSC course for 9 of our members. Priced very reasonably. It covers all the 8 hour WCB requirements. You have to hand write 3 tests and email the tests back to them. We got our tests marked the following day and received everyone’s certificates by email. I don’t think anyone fails the tests – if you get any questions wrong they let me know in an email and you just rewrite the test.
If you are applying to get your COR certification eventually, you will need to order a custom safety manual from Greystone. The templates they offer are very detailed for the low price, but you need something more formal to pass COR or ISNETWORLD auditing. I think the templates they offer are for minimum WorkSafeBC regulation compliance.
