On June 19th I used one of Impark machines in a parking lot near Vancouver General Hospital. It was the only day that I used my Visa Credit card. A few days later all of a sudden my card was cancelled. I phoned Visa and learned that my card had been copied and used in four different cities in Canada and the U.S. They immediately cancelled my card. The people at Visa informed me that June 19th was the day when all this started and that machines where you must place your entire card in are the ones where these criminal transactions can occur. Taping, apparently, is much safer. I decided to contact the Impark people in Vancouver to let them know that the machine I used was comprimized and that there may be other similar machines in Vancouver. I tried calling 5 different departments given on their phone number and all of them just played music. I found a customer service number and after half an hour of music I finally got to speak to an Impark employee. I informed him about what happened to me and was told that there was nothing he could do about it. He did say, however, that he could pass me on to another department. When I asked whether I would have to wait another half hour, he stated that he couldn't guarantee how long it would take. At that point I gave up.
