I went to Fantasy aquatics yesterday and just thought i'd tell you what I think. I highly recommend you DO NOT go there, as it is one of the worst aquatic shops I have ever seen, sorry!! I have been in the hobby for years. Their people need to be seriously educated on how to run a business. I was fuming when i went in there yesterday, it's an insult to the hobby. . 1) Mold and dirt all over the front door, disgusting hygiene. (I didn't want to go inside) 2)There were dead fish in several tanks, which l know have been there over a day from their color. 3)Tanks were disgusting, filthy algae all over. 4)customer service was **** excuse my language 5)All the aquariums are over crowded, filthy. 6)Alligator gar, who doesn't even have space to turn. These people are trying to make a quick buck and you can tell they have no passion for aquatics whatsoever. The fish are all sad with faded color. If these people want to make money from selling life, at least they should do it with honor. They have a great name and good logo, but it is far from a fantasy, more like nightmare aquatics. All being said, if these guys read this, and make the effort to turn around I would to write another review.

Great service, really helped me out with a tough tank situation. You just need to establish yourself as a non annoying customer so they will a tually talk to you.

Small place with a very dingy looking stack of tanks, at least on the freshwater side. They're using plecos to clean the tanks pretty obviously, since there's at least one in every tank with other varieties. Saw one dead fish that had clearly been there so long it had a healthy crop of fungus growing off it and was being nibbled by other fish. Another tank had several fish skeletons on the bottom being crawled over by snails. Not a great deal of variety on the freshwater end (can't speak to the saltwater sids as that's not my bag) and you've got to be a bit concerned as to what's going to come across in the water if you buy something. A bit of attention to detail and it might be a nice place, but just like so many other aquarium stores, they're saving themselves work at the price of a substandard product. Which is a shame.

Seems like a place run by local fish enthusiast. Mostly freshwater. They are pretty limited equipment-wise, but have wide variety of livestock not found in most others pet stores. Fish seemed to be healthy too. The owner is very knowledgable and passionate about aquariumistics. Prices are extremely competetive, lower than most other stores. The place is cramped, and tanks are not too pretty to look at, but the next time I need a new healthy addition to my tank, I ll go here first.
