Blueberry honey is good, but the wild flower doesnt flavor like honey.

I always love the honey from here. The jars are nicely decorated with a cute piece of cut fabric on top.

I've been going here for a few years. The customer service is usually terrible (the older women act like they wish they were doing anything other than their job), but the honey is genuinely good. However, a while ago I bought a large bottle of their \Mountain Flower\ honey, which has always been my favourite. Unfortunately, when I got home, it had the distinct sharp taste of their buckwheat variety. I brought it back, assuming it was mislabeled. The people I spoke to in the shop at first didn't believe me. Then, after several other people complained, they said it was just the atural flavour.\ However, they have samples at the desk, and their \Mountain Flower\ samples tasted nothing like what I bought. They refused to give me a refund or an exchange. I'm never buying from these folks again.

I wanted to have some idea of what flowers could go into their \Mountain Flowers\ variety to learn about what would attribute to it's dark color and unique taste. I was simply told \Alpine Flowers\ which is the same thing so they haven't a clue which is alarming. Possibly their source isn’t local. Their sales email is quick to answer but they make the most basic and short responses that hardly help in any way, as if they have a limited understanding in what they’re saying. The last response was only half a completed sentence! I guess I was expecting them to be as knowledgeable of their own honeys as other local beekeepers I've spoken with so it was disappointing. I wanted to know if their unpasteurized honey was also considered raw but they said that it is strained AND heated so this is worth noting if you're looking for honey that has retained it's beneficial qualities. It's still nice tasting honey but my interaction with them didn't leave me feeling at all confident about their produce.

They have a wide selection of different types of honey, depending on what type of flowers the bees pollinated. My favorite so far is the Fireweed Honey. It's more expensive than regular honey but tastes amazing. Well worth trying at least once.
