I don't think these wonderful people could possibly make their clients feel more comfortable during some of the worst moments of peoples' lives. I didn't feel rushed, didn't feel pressured. Their dogs that quietly greet you are the best. One in particular came over to me and just rested her head on my knee while I tickled her head. Perfect comfort companions while you're making some difficult situations. I'm so grateful to have found them. They also charged what they said - there were no surprises at the end. Owners and staff wrote some cards for us, it was all very comforting. When that day comes, I cannot recommend Thistledown enough. Thank You! \u003c3

There is no where else you want to lay your beloved fur baby to rest. The breathtaking scenery gives you some sense of peace, and you can walk their trails for a nice coping hike and fresh air. My children attended the goodbye service and the Owners were so empathetic and answered any questions my children had. They gave my kids each a Kitty Angel coin and a colouring page to draw their favourite memory. She also gave me some information on dealing with loss of a pet and children. The value for your money is above and beyond anywhere else I looked for! They include fur clippings, paw prints, paw moulds, and a medallion! They have options to take home your pet or to have them sprinkle your pets ashes around the property. They also have memorial plaque spots where you can come visit your pet. They also do installments, they will hold onto your pet honourably until you can pay off the amount for service!! Take the fear, pain,and trouble of finding a respectful way to say goodbye to your pet and use Thistledown! I promise you won't be disappointed, I feel such more peace about my families loss with the care I received from some of the best most caring people you'll ever meet. They aren't about the money, they are about peaceful passings and helping people cope!
I've written and rewritten this several times. I simply do not have the right words to describe how incredible Colin and Nancy are. Chances are that if you're reading this review, you've just lost someone very important. At Thistledown you're in amazing hands. Colin and Nancy are compassionate; they truly understand your feelings. They provide guidance and healing. They help you give your furperson the send off a family member deserves. From our first phone call, Colin and Nancy treated us with grace, showed us great empathy and truly offered therapeutic relief.
Today I put my dog down with an amazing mobile vet Dr.Mak and I brought my dog Tila over to Thistledown it was such a lovely peaceful cozy place lots of nature around beautiful place and most of all very nice and understanding lovely people. Everything I asked for they made it happen they were following my lead with what I was comfortable with. I brought her there and I knew I brought her to the right hands. After cremation was done I had everything prepared for me I picked a beautiful urn from all the other beautiful urns they have there. I got so many wonderful things to remember my precious dog Tila, everything so was well put together, I could tell they took the time and love to put everything together. They could also tell she was a very special soul they knew she was loved unconditionally by me and they respected that. I just have no more words I am just so happy with their service THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING.
I and my mom wanted to give a big thank you to Colin and Nancy Graham, for the warm welcome and showing the moral support for my mom and I. Just a month ago I lost my precious Cooper from a devastating illness. My mom and I, did not know who to go to because this was our first time losing a pet. I first found a location, but was told they would freeze Cooper for a couple days than cremated after, thus we would get his ashes in a week. I felt it was not right to let Cooper stay in a fridge for a while. We wanted to have him cremated and received all in one day. That is when I was recommended to call Thistledown Pet Memorial. I was told they cremate and you will get to take home the ashes all in one day. So I called, a lady picked up and it was Nancy and told me that they do provide the info that I was given. When I got there I saw Colin, he made I and my mom feel welcomed, knowing the condition of losing a love one. Colin was a soft spoken and kind man. We need more people like Colin in this world. He was very gentle with Cooper as if it was his own pet. He showed the love and comfort that I and my mom did for Cooper. Colin asked me if I would like to be the one to put Cooper inside the chamber. I said, \Yes.\ I even got to watch it close and press the start button. After the cremation was over. Colin really took his time to get every single bone nor ash out. Until the very end he really made sure that I got to go home with all of Cooper. There was no rush at all. We even had conversations in between which I personally enjoyed. I highly recommend this place, Colin and Nancy are both wonderful and loving people to pets and human beings. Your pet will be in the right hands. I guarantee you. I thank you from my mom and I for giving Cooper a pleasant cremation knowing that Cooper was in the right place from the very beginning.
